LPGA Magazine: A Tribute to Dinah Shore
LPGA Magazine debuted on ESPN in 1994. The first women's golf show to air on television, the series, which was conceived and produced by Susan Hunt, featured player profiles, golf tips, celebrity co-hosts, travel segments and much more.
Dinah Shore joined Susan Hunt as co-host for the series premiere. Little did anyone know that a few months later, the world of women's golf would lose Dinah to cancer.
Since her passing, the tournament continues to thrive, largely due to her energy, celebrity, hospitality and commitment to showcasing the best in women's golf. Each year in March, her legacy is celebrated at the Kraft Nabisco Championship staged at Mission Hills Country Club.
To honor Dinah and to celebrate her legacy, Amy Alcott, three-time winner of Dinah's event, joined Susan for a special look back at the life of Dinah Shore.
Enjoy the show.
